There's nothing more important than to know someone's listening

UPDATE:
The auction is over and the guitar went for over $1500. Nice job, interweb.

I just got back from one of the better Bridge School Benefits ever. Always amazing. Always part of a great cause. This year, we heard Neil Young's best Bridge School set to date, an inspired and beautfiul set by Band of Horses, a living up to potential by Death Cab For Cutie, suprisingly off the cuff and off the hook by Norah Jones (who covered Wilco, allowing me to hear Jesus Etc TWO times on the night), a noble struggle mired by mixing problems by Cat Power, an expectedly solid Sarah Mclachlan, a rather of yawnful Jack Johnson (sorry, pooka shell friends).

And the late greats: Wilco. Speaking of whom...

As part of another great cause, our friend Ryan Tanner has set up an EBAY AUCTION FOR A GUITAR SIGNED BY ALL THE WILCOS, AS WELL AS SKY BLUE SKY TOUR MERCHANDISE HERE. All benefits go to the Nielson family, who we've talked about a bit before in this place. Really cool stuff. I've played the guitar and it's bona fide.

Ryan, as usual, says it better than I do here.

Pass the ebay link on to your friends, and on to their friends, and on and on and on. On and on and on.

Sounds like it would have been more than worth the hit to my education to have headed up there this year. Thanks for making me jealous.
