The Return of Featuring...

Awhile back, in another post, I wrote:

One of my favorite hip hop cliches, just after the absurd amount of third person self-referential lyrics, is the song by Artist X featuring Artist Y and Artist Z. It probably helps sell records, but it's ridiculously hypeful. I actually debated at one point labeling one of the songs on my album, "Like A Proper Noun- Paul Jacobsen featuring Dominic Moore and introducing Darin LeSueur," but decided against it when it was a little too inside.

When I was in college, my roommates would play Name That Tune on our TV's satellite radio and Dan(resident R&B expert)'s money punchline adding "featuring Ashanti" to any song. At the time, there was a 70% probability that he was right.

That's a long way of getting to "here are more photos of Leo, featuring Artist Y and Artist Z." Lots of pictures below in no real order. Just Leo getting to know some of the cool people who make our lives great. Again, I just flipped through the latest download of pictures, so there's no rhyme, reason, hierarchy or anything. It's a long, long post. But heaven knows you'll get to the bottom looking for yourself...

And at least the wordiness is all at the top.

3-month old Leo featuring The Welches
Uncle Tom

Cousin Casey

Cousin Whitney

Cousin Carly

Cousin Fisher

Cousin Rudger

Aunt Laura

3 Month Old Leo featuring The Schmidts (who were once, believe it or not, backyard neighbors with the Welches)

Cousin Jane

Cousins galore- including Liza, Laura, Bryn, and Jane

Cousin Soren

Cousin Anna Rose

Aunt Sarah

And a whole bunch of other fine people, less easily categorized.

With all of the Jacobsen Cousins, minus Bruce & Jenny's kids.

3 Month Old Leo featuring Grandma Charlotte (the first time they ever met)

Cousin Sarah

Cousin Rebecca

Cousin Ruby and a bit of happiness

Cousin Margaret

Aunt Courtney (with cameos by Sophie, Grandma, and mom sucking her thumb)

Baby Norah. Their band, The Swaddle Season, will devastate you in 2028.

There's a chance that The Swaddle Season won't last three albums and Leo and June MacDonald will start an experimental post-folkcore band called Tummy Time.

Dad's cousins
