I love the Fall. The leaves are changing, the air is cool and earthy, the sweaters come out of their dusty trunks, the snow hasn't fallen (yet), and it's when I got married. I always dreamed of a Fall wedding and 5 years ago, my sweet Paul made that dream come true. It's been 5 years and 12 days, to be exact. But who's counting?
We celebrated by sneaking away from our babies for a night and spoiled ourselves at the new St. Regis Deer Crest in Deer Valley. If you haven't had a chance to check out this amazing new hotel, you should. It's tucked away in a valley of the beautiful mountain side and even though we were just 30 minutes from home, we felt a million miles away. It was unreal, and just the thing we needed to reconnect.

It's amazing how one night of uninterrupted conversation, uninterrupted sleep, room service & a spa treatment can help you remember all the reasons you fell in love and got hitched in the first place. Not that I don't remember all those reasons every other day of our lives, but if you have kids you know EXACTLY what I mean. Thank the heavens above for overnight babysitters (yeah, you know who you are).
And thanks, Paul, for making so many of my dreams come true and for helping me dream new dreams (WAY better dreams than my limited imagination ever allowed before).
One of the many reasons I love my Pablo:

I know it doesn't look very romantic, but you'd be surprised. I've wanted a Kitchenaid since the day after we returned from our honeymoon. For real. But in my opinion, it's that much sweeter when you've had to wait for it a little while.
Another reason why my love swells:
And another:
Oh, and this one too:
I love you, Paul. Happy 5 years and [I'm] counting.

Holly, congratulations on the big 5! I love the picture of you two at the top, and also the 2 of your kiddos. How sweet are they?! And thanks for the heads up about the resort...we might just have to head that way in Feb!
Happy Anniversary! 5 years goes by quick. Let's get caught up soon. I still haven't even heard your whole crazy birth story!
Happy Anniversary you two! I always think of your fantastic New York wedding this time of year.
