I took this picture back in October of 06 when I was on my 1st tour, staying with my cousin Mark in Southern California. For some reason it reminds me of Atherton's first CD cover, probably the colors and California-ness. This weekend, I head back with Mr. Atherton himself and friend/producer/engineer/guitarist/bassist/innertube-champion/pain-in-the-rear Scott Wiley to get my second album mastered.
I would explain mastering to those of you with cartoon question marks above your heads. But a) my understanding of it is just enough to get by, and b) I know you all come here for the pregnancy pictures and quilt swatches.

i'm not gonna lie and say that expectations not very near impossibly high. they're way up there. like, "new hold steady album coming out later this year" up there. but something tells me they will be met...wait, now it's saying they will be exceeded. oh, the anticipation.
